I just installed a wiikey 2 into my wii, and everything seemed to be perfect. I had left a Super Mario Galaxy disc in it on accident, and it came up fine - so I know the drive works,but once I ejected it, it did not want to take in anything new. I have been searching all over and have had no luck finding a solution to this. I can push a disc in but it will refuse to try to read it or acknowledge that I even tried, but it will still eject it out just fine. Anyone have any ideas?

Let me guess...

you have a Wii CLIP connected to your WiiKey 2..?

If you do, remove it and set it on fire. Watch it melt into oblivion.

Solder your chip in and enjoy it.

If you can't solder, there are people out there who can do it for you.

Again, Wii Clips SUCK!

I did not use a clip, but I did take it all back apart and check to see what went wrong. My board does not quite match the one on the install instructions, and I soldered to a wrong spot (doh). Unsoldered it, and put it where it should go, all is now well in the world. Already tested with originals and, ermmmmm "backups" ;D So everybody out there do yourself a favor and check and double check so you don't end up like me.

Great Job!

I'm glad you got it working.

95% of all mod chip problems are due to it's installation. I have had that happen also. Especially if I'm trying to rush.
