hello all

sorry to start another topic with a clueless noob asking for help but I can't seem to figure this stuff out on my own.

Hello all

I hate to start another topic with a clueless beginner asking for help but I really need some advice.

I want to get SvR 2009 and a psp. I would also love to be able to use the cw cheat stuff.

I want to get a psp but I also want to be able to hack it. I really only want to hack it to use the cw cheat stuff and maybe a few other homebrews (comic psp).

My first problem is that I can't figure out what version of the psp I should get

1. I kinda want a 3000 but I don't think they are hackable yet (right?). What is the outlook for these. I would hate to get one and then have it not be hackable.

2. Some of the package deals seem nice. The blue Madden psp looks good but it seems some versions are not hackable (depending on the firmware). How would I know what version I would be getting (I want to order one on amazon)

are there any other package deals that are hackable (god of war, starwars, etc.)

3. I could just get a black psp 2000 (I assume I would not have any problems with those)

Once I get a psp, I think I would need to find some custom firmware and also purchase a battery to hack. Is that the best way to hack a psp. If is is, where is the best place to get the special battery?

Here goes a list of questions

1. What version of the PSP should I get? I kinda want a 3000 but I don't think those are hackable yet (anyone know if they ever will be). If I can't get a 3000 I would go for a 2000 but there are a few versions of that. Some of the package deals seem very good but can I definitely hack the madden blue psp or the white star wars one?

2. I have looked at the guides for hacking the psp. From what I understand, you need to buy the special battery. Does it involve any other modification other than the battery and special firmware (do I have to use any tools to do anything?)

3. Will anyone be hacking for the psp and SvR 2009 this year? Sorry if this is a stupid question. I just don't know what level of support this game gets on the psp.

correct me if I am wrong but it seems that even if I do get a psp 2000 it may be unhackable depending on the firmware.

so

how can I get a psp 2000 that is hackable with out buying a used one

The God of War version is hackable, u just can't make a pandora's battery with that model. I would suggest that you try to find th Daxter version of the PSP or go to Game Stop or EB Games to get a used one. I got my phat psp from Gamestop and have no problems with it. There is noyhing wrong with getting a used 1. It comes with a warranty and even after that 90 days is up, you can still send it in to SONY and they might replace it(for a $90 charge of course. Ebay and Amazon may have that version on their sites.

As for the battery, there is a guidde on this forum that tells you how to do that. But you need to be careful as to the type of battery u get. As i said before the God of War package battery can't be pandoraized. I would suggest the Datel tool battery. That way you always have it around.

How hard is it to hack the god of war version. The only way I know is with the battery (but I hardly understand that)

I also heard that the Star Wars battlefront package is hackable

any one know for sure?

Is there no way to get a new psp and ensure that it is hackable

I would highly suggest getting the Datel Tool instead of hard modding the battery. The process is fairly easy. Just follow this guide:

I am still a little foggy on what psp to get

I am thinking about the Daxter psp bundle
Daxter bundle

Do you know if this one can be hacked or does it have new firmware and the new mother board.

I would love to get the madden bundle but I know that some of them have the new firmwar

I edited your post and fixed the url's - all you were missing was 'naming' the url between the url brackets.
Ex. (remove the asterisks) [*url=http://afterdawn.com]type what you want the hyperlink to say here[*/url]

Here's the edit button too:

You should be good on the Daxter one - the release date was Sept. 07 as opposed to Madden which was Aug. 08.

I have the Daxter and a few of my friends have the GOW one - all bought from Amazon and all have been modded. If they are coming out with new GOW bundles w/ the new motherboard - that I don't know. But 1 GOW bundle was purchased a few weeks ago there and it came w/ 3.95 firmware - it's fine.

For the battery - use codejunkies.com - about a 2-3 week turn time but they come through. They're also the manufacturer.
