Got RROD for like 30 seconds

I was playing Midnight club:LA and it froze for a bit then the 3 RROD flashed on my console so I turned off the console and then turned it back on, It turned on fine and worked, I only left it on for 2 minutes

Should I expect a RROD soon? and what is the best way to avoid it at this point? Should I leave the 360 0n? I got no secondary message..

I should add this is a console MS Sent back too me after my last one got a rrod. it is modded,(had someone mod it for me)

EDIT: This may be due too the psu unit being loose even though it was in its slot?

No suggestion afterdawn?

I been playing saint row and gow 2 for 3 hours now and their seems to be no problem? could this have been the ps or should i expect rrod in a few days or hours

I would probably just watch it carefully.... my first one got the red ring briefly like yours, then slowly overtime started freezing up more, then boom RROD!

But does the psu being loose cause this?

Its modded so I prolly cant send it back MS but some told me I should, oh well might have someone due xclamp for cheap like $30 buck.

that is cheap, i would do it for 40$ plus you pay for shipping, but 30$ sounds like a steal to me so i would take that.

Here is an update.

I HAVE not gotten the 360 repaired as I was waiting for it too RROD on me permanently, it has not since then. about 3 weeks and I been playing at least 2 hours a day some days.

Should I still have it repaired?

You should have it reflowed and then xclamped. More of a long term fix versus just the xclamp. PM me if interested.

Yea i think the psu was yor problem, my little cousin had problems w/his 360 power supply. The connection in the back of the 360 doesn't seem to be the best, he had an issue where it would turn on then back off and once he actually had an rrod. He hasn't had either problem again since, all he had to do was unplug everything (left it for a little bit) and plug everything back in.

If i were you i would not worry to much. I would not do that xclamp for 30 though theres someone on ebay who will do a reflow for about that plus 15 shipping.
