Please help needed badly samsung drive sh-d162d

I install samsung sh-d162d with kreon v.1 I install the drive as a master it reads normal discs but not the 360 games. I am using xbc v2.8 and also tried 2.7 it gives the message no media present the drive tool tab is all grey color can't unlock drive.

ive got exactly same setup and problem, ive tried all sorts the booktype is checks out with requirements and all seems ok. managed one and only one backup working as option set in xboxbackup creator 2.8, assuming my origonals where scratched ect. poped in a borrowed game and noticed the complete backup dotbox changed to current partition dotbox. then it worked however on close inspection the game did not have a holograme. (i wont be using it) so dunno really but still looking for an answer if you find out plz come back here. thanks.

XBC only works with original games, not backups.

Why not use "Schtrom 360 Xtract", works perfectly for me. I never really used XBC.
