Problems with DVD-R !!!

I have used 'dvd decryptor' and 'dvd2one' to create backups of my favourite DVD Movies. And while I have had considerable success with DVD+R and +RW I recently tried using -R becuase of their cheaper price. However, when I tried to burn the vob, bup, ifo and various other files to the video TS folder I was confronted with an Illegal Disk Message and was blocked from burning the dvd files. I have a +/- burner, NEC 1300, and NERO 6.

Can anyone tell me how to get around this problem ?

It could just be a media problem with your NEC. Try another brand that is known to be compatable with your drive.

Thanx for the advice. The discs that are'nt working are LASER 4x DVD-R , i bought a 25 disc spindle for $30 AU . Just my luck that the cheap ones don't work on my burner.
