I need your help bad, my friend gave me a rrod xbox 360 and I did the xclamp mod and it worked and then I flashed it after two weeks it suddenly gave me rrod then e74 now rrod. I redid the xclamps and did the "bake" fix and all it does is immediatly give me rrod when i turn it on. The hidden error code is 0024 and I cant find what it means any suggestions?

after you put the gpu heatsink back on ,plug it in,and have the fan dangling out of the case.so the cpu gets really hot,after about 12 mins youll get two red lights,and the cpu will reset,turn it of at the wall .
put it back together,it should work.

is the warranty still vaguely intact? there should be a grey line which is all microsoft need to see to just send you a knew one but if you dont have the warrranty anymore then theres nothing else you can do

hey, can you explain the microwave fix in more depth? How long did you heat it up? What temp?

Try this first go to lowes and by 5 by 10mm screws and somewashers that would fit snug around them then do the xclamp mod.
Then turn the xbox on with out the dvd drive or fan so its just the bare mother board and wait until three red rings turns into two.
Then It should bw fixed

my xbox360 rrod every other day.did the xclamp fix lasted 3 months now its a pain ,opening and putting paste on gpu,then 2 days later rrod,ive done this arround 12 times now, does the oven trick work,im ready for binning this.unless i can find a more pemanant fix.

more than likely you will fry your xbox if you put it in an oven... do not even attempt this... Hell if you think this is even a good idea you shouldn't even be messing around with electronic components.
The only thing that goes in an oven is food. I have however put my tail lights in the oven before to get the glue to warm up so i can pull off the lense without breaking it. It's not electric, it's plastic.
If someone did put their mb in an oven it was probably covered in tin foil in a lot of different areas to protect the different components.
Find someone with a reflow station before you open up the oven door.
