Flashing ms28 with pcmcia

I'm going to attempt to flash my Samsung ms28 using a pcmcia.I've found a Tutorial online that uses Enable0800 and DosFlash.I've download the necessary programs\.iso from xbins but I'm unsure about one thing:

After reading the flash and before applying "iXtreame firmware.cmd" which is just a batch file that executes "FIRMTOOL.EXE orig.bin ix14.bin" the author mentions 

AFTER IT HAS READ HAS THE FIRMWARE FROM THE DRIVE YOU CAN NOW OPEN IT UP WITH FIRMWARE TOOLBOX TO CHECK THE DRIVE KEY ECT,
Originally I was going to do the flash using textbooks tutorial but that requires a PCI sata card so everything was automatic and the Drive Key was checked as part of the process.

What I want to know is what tool do I use if any and how exactly do I use it.When looking in xbins "/XBOX 360/firmware/firmware tools/Firmware Toolbox/360FW-Toolbox-48.rar" didnt seems to be what I was after.

Normally I'd just plough ahead and give these things a shot but I dont want to brick my drive
