When I try to set up the Wii on online I get an error page just after clicking on the Wii settings button. "You tried to access the address marc:FIX/US/ENG/index01.html, which is currently unavailable. please make sure that the Web address (URL) is correctly spelled and punctuayed, then try reloading the page. ....." only thing I can do is press the home button.
Purchased console in Bali and it has mod chip installed.
Any ideas what I can do to fix this? Could it be that the install of the Mod chip was not completed correctly?

You semi-bricked your Wii due to installing an out of region update from a game disc.

Your answer could have been found if you searched previously or read the Ultimate Sticky section.

Go to the Ultimate Sticky Thread at the top of the Wii section forum. Then find the thread on how to protect from region brick and you will find the fix there.
