I read a little bit about flashing my xbox 360 with that for dummies book. I do have that Via card, however I am confused about about what software I need. I anyone can help that would be great.

If you are referring to the "Textbook", it had in it all the links you will need to get a hold of the right software. You'll need xbins (a ftp program) to get most of the stuff including firmware and firmware tools (iprep). I can't remember what else you need off the top of my head, but if you're not reading the "Textbook", do so!

One of the links is for 360mods.net but it is currently down. Is there any other way to get the software I need?

Are you saying you're having trouble getting the textbook from the link I sent you? If so, just google "360 textbook" and you should be able to find a copy. 360mods.net has been down for the past few days I think.

no I have the textbook, however one of the links from the MS28 section is suppose to take me to 360mod.net now the thing is, the site is down.
So I was wondering if it is possible to get the software I need elsewhere? Thanks for your help.
