I have heard conflicting reports ranging from "Nintendo has no plans to add extra storage support for the Wii" to "Nintendo understands the urgency of the storage problem and is working on it". Does anyone know where they are and actually have a source to back it up? I googled it for a while and came up with nothing solid. It doesn't seem like it would be that difficult to at least add SD support so we don't have to copy our VC/WiiWare games to the SD card every time we run low on room (which is happening more and more often for me!).
When Nintendo say they are working on it could take ten years for all we know if they do expand storage it going to be in an update or might come in the new unconfirmed release of WiiHD which will come with a few more features.
Your just going to have to wait to then and don't get your hopes up as more storage for wii might never come for wii or wii HD.
For reverence I read in the paper about the wii HD.
A Nintendo Press Conference release announced that a new update will be released for Japan users in the spring that will let users download the games to SD card.
As for the rest of us (PAL NTSC-U) who knows how long it will take to reach us.
