I have trouble with my 8 GB memorycard . I format it on my PSP and it says its 4 GB in use and 4 GB free space.. I also tried to format with my PC but same proble.. Whats wrong ?

I am going to say its a fake memory stick you have there-Did you happen to purchase that from eBay by chance? The reason I ask is that about 96% of the memory sticks for sale on eBay are counterfeits from china. You can check on your psp to see if its actually MagicGate supported or not.
Do this by navigating to one of the memory stick icons under MUSIC, VIDEO, or GAME in the psp menu (XMB)-press the triangle and you will be presented with the memory stick information sidebar, press X and it will show the status of the free space amount of space used, and MagicGate status..If it is saying 'Unsupported' or is just blank after where it says 'MagicGate' then you have a fake...Contact your seller immediately and get your money back.

The trouble you are having is the most common problem with fake memory sticks, as well as corrupted data for your gamesaves, and other data.

If you are in the states, get to circuit city-They have 8GB's for $49.99

Better than that. Sometimes fake memory cards slip through retail stores. The online place I would recommend for purchasing genuine Sony MS is Amazon.com Check the out the "Sony ProDuo Mark2 16GB" they have to offer. Its price has been on a steep decline.
