NXE infecting other consoles?

Ive heard about, if you put a hard drive or memory card from a NXE updated console into another normal xbox it will infect it with NXE.

Is there any truth in this it? Has anyone actually tried it?

Because i want to use my gamertag in my Backups console w/ NXE installed to get acheivements with my backups.
But if i put it back in my other xbox (unmodded), its possible i could get banned from xbox live which i use on that xbox.

What if i use my gamertag on the modded xbox and then on November 19th use a silver account to download official NXE release on unmodded xbox and then put the infected hard drive/memory card back in. Do you think it will corrupt something? or just carry on as normal?
I can go without LIVE for 2 weeks, so that doesnt matter.

Any help or light on the subject would be greatly appreciated!

first of all its not an infection LOL! its an auto update, and yes its true. because that hard drive thinks the dashboard you are running is out of date and it needs to update, just like every other update there has been. but its by no means an infection just because you can go on live. be patient and wait on the real update. if they do drop the hammer there is going to be alot of crying because everyone updated their console because they couldnt wait 2 weeks to see a new dashboard. patience is key!
