Benq Open Tray Error

I finally flashed my Benq Drive...took me week since I could not get my VIA driver to work..

Anyway now I have "Open tray error" even when I put either original or movie dvd into xbox.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Please let me know.

It has to be a bad flash if it's not reading originals. The "open tray" error means the 360 detects absolutely no disc in the drive.

An "unreadable disc" error means the 360 does detect a disc, but obviously, it can't read it. This error is due to either a dirty/bad laser or a bad burn.

Is there lastest known working firmware for Benq drive to flash? I'm using iPrep. Also, when I flash my drive...do I do all same step I did in first place or there is easy way to flash it again?

IM DuMM as hell....I forgot to plug back SATA cable from xbox back to cd rom...

Now its plugged back in..I can still play original xbox games...Since I dont have burned xbox game yet I cannot try it. But I put in Burned Movie..and I get "Mixed Media Disc" .

What does that supposed to mean?

i've done that once before on my brothers xbox (the not plugging the cable back in). glad you got it figured out. as for the movie one, its just not burned right probably, as you dont have to flash the drive in order to watch burnt movies.
