I had just had my wiikey 2 professionally installed and im having a problem. The wii powers up fine, but will not intake or load a disc. its almost as there is no power going to the motor. I even tried inserting a disc with the power off and the wii will not load it nor eject. There is a solid red light on the modchip and the chipset I have is d2c. Can someone please help...

Send it back to the professional for repair. The drive may have been damaged if you had had it shipped.

no, it hasnt been shipped. the funny thing is that once we unsolder the power to the modchip, the drive works fine. I just dont get it.

I installed my wii key2 myself, and have a similar issue. Sometimes when swapping disks the drive will not start the motor to insert the disk. If you do a power cycle on your wii it resets the drive and your able to insert the disk. If you have a solid red light then I would send it back to get repaired.

The problem sounds like your modchip is not recieving a proper clock signal from the drive. Try resoldering your clk point (point G on the wiikey II) at both ends. Beyond that I would suggest you contact the person who installed the chip.

Hi fellas. I'm getting nowhere fast. I've installed my wiikey2 w/ wii-clip and some backups don't work. I would say closer to %40 of the old backups don't work.

I have 2 systems, the other i have d2pro w/ wii-clip and all backups work. no problems, ever.

but I just can't figure out why some do and some don't with this wiikey2 ? is this the cheap one or something? i'm using the latest v 1.2 ...

any ideas here? i'm all out...
