Norway's Consumer Ombudsman Bjoern Erik Thon is keeping his pledge to put more pressure on Apple to cut the DRM tie between its iPod models and music downloads from the iTunes download store. For some reason this makes me smile... Go Norway.. enforce the "unfair trading" laws and remove all apple goods and services from sale in your country... then block itunes store through your isp's... Then we will see Apple squirm a bit.. because it will set a European trade region precident, which if things work like they should would mean the immediate banning of all trading by apple into the region.
I doubt very much that "our" elected officials actually have the balls to bite their real paymasters.. but it will be fun watching both the European Parliament and apple shuffle their feet nervously in the corner before it all gets swept under the carpet... again.
