Hello. I haven't been on here for a long time, and I am a bit lost with all the new innovations and releases in PSP modding. I have a PSP-1000 by the way.
The last time I updated was to 3.71m33.
I'm pretty sure the newest stable CFW is 5.00m33, correct?
I was wondering how I should go about updating to 5.00m33... I don't really remember-I'm pretty sure I have to go update by update.
And there are a few other random questions I have.
-For the new firmwares... Are there ways to store multiple themes-not just the themes with different icons, but the ones with different layouts- on a memory stick, and switch between them. I remember 3.52m33, where you had to flash the flash0 resource files to change the layout...
-Do those photofast adapters really work well? I wanted to get at least 16gb on mine :D
-Anything else big happen?
Thanks... and sorry for the general questions.

Your asking a heap of question s I'll answer a few.
No firmware 5.00 m33-3 is the latest it lets you access the PlayStation store
And the new psp 3000 is unhackable for now.
hope this helps a bit.

check pspupdates.com or psp-hacks.com if you want to stay in the loop.
5.00 M33-3 is the latest and CXMB v3.3 is out and there are about 30 CTF themes available that make it alot easier then messing with flash 0 and yes the photofast adapters do work and can support 32gb to 64gb for your psp and the only other big things since yout time is the pandora battery/magic memory stick, popsloader has been updated to make psx game more compatible, and the old nintendo 64 emulator is getting a remake by 5 devs now called DaedalusX64 and should have a beta the first week of december, other then that just a few nice homebrews and plugins mostly for the psp slim but like i said check the sites i mentioned at the top

Wow. Thanks for all the information...
I have one question though... I forgot everything about updating my PSP's CFW. I need to update from 3.71m33 to 3.80m33 and so on right? Or can I just go from here on 3.41m33 to 5.00m33?

Yeah. I have this old problem though
My 4gb lexar memory stick is too slow to run plugins. I really need to get a new memory card :(
I wanted to install CXMB and POPSLOADER stuff before, but it wouldn't work. I guess I'll have to wait and get a photofast adapter :D
Thanks though!

Lexar memory sticks are the worse for CXMB and Popsloader. They just plain won't work. You really should go with the official Sony sticks, or even the Sandisk ones, which I heard are even better.

Yeah. Apparently they are not fast enough to enable the use of any sort of plugin. The photofast adapters allow the use of plugins, right?
