Anyone know if you can be banned for creating new user account each month

Hi I was just wondering if you can be banned from xbox live if I keep creating new users and taking advantage of the 1 month free gold account they give you.

My gold account has expired and I don't want to purchase a new one and then find out on the 19th I've been banned for other reasons. I was going to wait till after the 19th before looking into it and seeing what the update brings, but they have opened call of duty up to everyone and wanted to have a go.

I've created a couple of account in the past, I think I read somewhere that you can only create three and get one month free, but I don't know if that's correct.

I know you lose your achievements but I don't really care I'm not really a "wow look how many points I have" type of person.

Anyone know if they would ban you for this because ultimately you could create a new user each month if you could be bothered and never pay anything.

I'm pretty sure they won't ban you.I heard it was 5 accounts per console . I have 5 on mine now haven't tried a 6th yet because of having the new NXE installed.

Well I'm pretty sure MS does have a limit on the number of times you can do that. They can track it by your console, and I want to say it is only like 3 or 5 times or so.

I haven't heard of anyone getting banned doing that atleast

I did that a while back, I didnt get banned but you can only do it 3 times.

Ok thanks, this is only my 3rd time anyway so I'm sure I'm fine and I'm sure like you have said above there is a limit on the console MS can be silly but not that silly.
