I have spent hours trying to figure out why i keep getting errors when games are burned. i was using a sony burner so i just bought a pioneer burner and i get the same errors.i am using the verbatim dvd +r dl disks and have tried imgburn and xbc. with imgburn, it gets half way or past, then i get errors. burning is at 2.4x and i followed all instructions. i have now wasted 5 disks and am getting very frustrated.
any help?

its possible you got a pack of bad discs try borrowing a friends disk and see if a game will burn try burning with clonecd, burn at 2x. GOOD LUCK

i will try another pack of disks. i cant think of anything else. i asked in another topic but did not get answers so i will ask again here. when i check the iso folder, it says it is 7gb but when i look in it, there are two folders, one is for audio and the other for video. the audio is empty and the video has about 2 mb of files in it and i cant find the remainder that make up the 7gb. is this normal?

I dont think there is anything wrong with your discs or any of the apps that you use.
Most likely it is the iso that you burned. Try redoing the iso is your best bet.
Also first run it through dvdxmulleter to see if everything is valid and correct.

i have already tried two different iso files and i have used the mulletter program but i will try another and let you know.

just tried another disk and this time i lowered the read rate from 12x to 4x. i have been burning at 2x so i know it is not the speed. this time i got about 36% through but it does vary each time. here is the error i got:

one thing that is interesting is that at the top of the screen where you choose the dvd player, it lists the media type and says it is manufactured by MKM, but these are Verbatim disks.
Also does it matter if i pick SPTI or ASPI beside the player selection because i have been using SPTI.

i just went out and bought sony disks and the same problem occurred. any other ideas would be greatly appreciated

This thread can be stopped since i figured out that it is the backing up that is causing the problem and not the burning. I will start a new thread addressing that. Thank you all for your help.
