Hi, I just opened my xbox360, connected the sata port to the one on my computer and tried to boot from a USB stick, but it doesn't work. I used IPREP to store the new firmware on the USB stick and make it bootable. I have tried selecting different "via options" when using IPREP, but nothing seems to work. I just get a black screen when trying to boot on the USB stick...

Any suggestions on how to make it possible?

btw, I have an ASUS K8V Deluxe motherboard.

what didnt work was booting from the USB. I am sure I set up everything fine, so I tried saving the firmware (IPREP) on a partition on my HDD and instead booted from a DVD and that worked like a dream.

Anyways, thanks for your interest, everything is fine now. Yeay :)
