I'm a complete and utter noob to this. So I purchased a PSP 2000 Slim, then a pandora battery and install the CFW 4.01 M33. I have a couple of ISO's which I put onto a freshly formatted 8GB MS.
When I go to Games / XMB I only see one of the ISO's I copied to the MS. I have double checked everything and the ISO's are in the ISO folder on the root of the MS.
Can anyone explain why this is happening?

i am a newbie too, i did some research on how to install m33 on a slim a while back, apparently, 8gb sticks have a slight problem with iso's and homebrews, no-one knows why, but its probably sony trying to stop cfw for good

I am willing to bet that your memory stick is a fake- Did you pick that up from eBay by chance? About 96% of the memory sticks sold on eBay are counterfeits from china. Shocking, I know.
One way to check is to navigate to any memory stick icon in the psp's menu under either PHOTO, MUSIC, VIDEO,or GAME and press the triangle button-you will then be presented with the information sidebar, press X and it will show your user capacity, free space and MagicGate status. A genuine stick will read as 'supported' for MagicGate, while ones of the eBay caliber will read as 'unknown','unsupported','other', or will just be plain blank for the magicgate status. If this is the case with you, contact your seller immediately and get your money back.
It may say it has 7.XXGB of free space, when in fact there is probably only about 512MB-1GB of actual usable space-hence your games not showing up in the menu.
As far as 8GB sticks having problems with isos and homebrew that is not the case-I have both an 8GB and a 16GB MS, and they both work just fine in my red slim.

I purchased the MS from Newegg.com. After looking at it the MagicGate does say OTHER. It's not that MS was any great deal paid $65 for it.
Neweggs website said it was for PSP's.
Guess it's going back...
Where can I get a legit MS 8GB, any trusted site you might know of?

Interesting,it sounds like you got a "badegg" from newegg. That is who I was going to recommend-either that or dealextreme.com
If you are in the States, you can get an 8gb at circuit city for $49.99

MagicGate should be supported on your memory sticks. Ensure that you're only using Sony Pro Duo sticks or SanDisk Pro Duo sticks.
Are you running one of those or are you using a microsd to pro duo adapter?
Check that the file names aren't absurdly long. I've heard of (haven't experienced) problems with really long file names. Keep it short, sweet, and to the point.
Files shouldn't be named something like this...as an example:
------
"[PSP] Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception (WWW.SOMEWEBSITE.COM)(RIPPED BY UBERLEETHANDLE).iso"
------
This is ridiculously named. If the .rar or .zip it comes in is named that, fine, but when you extract it from the archive, rename the .iso/.cso something like "AceCombatXSofD.iso". Remember KISS (Keep It Super Simple)
Also make sure that you do a full low level format on that stick with your PC, then reformat it on your PSP (settings menu > system settings > format memory stick)
If you can't format the 8gig stick on your psp then you need to format it on your computer as FAT32. Next format another memory stick (a smaller one, preferably 2gig or smaller) on your psp.
Hook up the psp to the computer, make a folder on your desktop that says "PSP Files" or something of the sort, and copy all the files to the new folder from the smaller mem stick you just formatted.
***NOTE***
Make sure your computer is setup to show hidden files when you do this!!! Very important you make sure you do this so you can get the 2 hidden files on the root of the mem stick.
On win XP you can do this by double clicking on "My computer", tools, folder options. Click on the view tab and go down to "Hidden files and folders". Check "Show hidden files and folders" then click apply then ok.
Now disconnect your psp, put in the 8gig stick, and copy all the files from the your folder to the 8gig stick.
If this doesn't fix your problem then I'm stumped.
What are the .iso's you're working with? PSP games? PSX games? Are the self ripped? Downloaded?
You know I give you the mad, phat, superfly, stupid-dope, dumb-ass, retarded, bomb-sh*t props!
What else do you want from me!?!

I have done all of the above, low level format on PC, and format in PSP and it read 8gb, but still reads unknown in the info.
The iso's I'm working with are PSP iso's downloaded. I haven't tried to make an iso myself yet... I even updated to 5.00 M33-3 to see if this would help, it hasn't.
New Info:
I was able to get two smaller iso's (200MB - 300MB) to show up at once, but the minute I put a larger iso (650MB +) the third iso showed up as a blank white ico and could not be played.
It appears when I have larger iso's 650MB + only once will show up at a time..
Any other suggestions would be helpful.

Well you already know what I think-Have you contacted NewEgg yet to get your money back, or a replacement sent?
It sounds like your 8GB memory stick is only good for about 1GB of actual usable data-anything over that threshold wont show up in the game menu. A low level format is not going to do you any good either with a fake memory stick.

I'm going to have to concur with deez. The fact that your mem stick says OTHER for magicgate is not a good thing.
Return that mem stick and get another one. I'd suggest getting 2 4gb sticks instead of an 8gb. It's a lot cheaper.
Also ensure that they're official Sony or SanDisk Pro Duo memory sticks. Lexar makes one and I've heard way more bad then good about them.
After you get one that does in fact have magicgate supported you shouldn't have any other problems.
Also, congrats on upgrading to 5.00 M33-3. Good firmware :)
