Hi,

I just flashed my drive, well hopefully I did.

But first of all I did the wxripper method, and I ripped a xbox 360 game to my pc. Then I ran it through the dvdxmulleter application and got all checks for the xtreme software, and all the other checkpoints.

Then when I looked at guides across google, they all tell me to burn the .dvd image that I have to the cd.

Well I only have the .iso image and my question is how do you get the .iso image to the .dvd image?

After searching all over the web, I found that you need to go to the ss merger app, and click on your iso, and merge it with the ss.bin which will give you the .dvd. I tried that but I get the .dvd with only like 33 bytes, and I definitly dont think that is correct. Please help with this . thanks

yes that is correct, the DVD file is merely a set of instruction for programs like imgburn telling it to burn the ISO and to set the break point somewhere at 1900000 not sure the exact number but yes you burn the DVD file and everything should be fine.

NOTE: The ISO and the DVD file must be in a folder alone with no other games or you could be burning the wrong game when you try, each game should have its own folder including one ISO and one DVD inside to burn correctly.

Double Note: The DVD file is not completely necessary however people that like guides to stay simplistic require them because otherwise you have to set up all the settings in imgburn manually every time and that could get annoying.

Ok, thanks so much.

So when I open the folder with the iso and the dvd file, I drop the dvd file into the decrypter right? and then click burn, and it will burn the dvd and the iso file, even though i didnt drop it in there as long as its in the same folder?

Also the ss merger way is correct right?? The only thing is that when I check the iso with dvd mulleter it works fine and i get all the checks, but then when i do the .dvd file, the same iso changes somehow and the dvd mulleter doesnt recognize the iso when i recheck it after merging it with the ss.bin...??

Also do i need to check certain things in the ss merger to get the dvd file because i have a feeling im doing it wrong??

This is what I clicked:

Video partition, wxripper style

then i opened up a ss that i made with the iso tool,

and clicked on xbox 360 layer break file,

then i hit the big merger button on the side.

should i be doing something else??

Also i have already checked the iso with dvd mulleter, and it says that i have a valid ss bin, however why do i need to use ss merger then and add another ss bin to the iso just to get the .dvd file, is that what im supposed to do and it doesnt mess up the game? or is there a way to get the .dvd file some other way besides doing the ss merger with the ss.bin? Thanks

Also is there a way to find out if your xbox 360 has been flashed correctly and it works?

Since i made a back up of one of my games, and i just want to know if i made the back up correctly or the flash incorrectly.

The back up is not working in my xbox 360, it recognizes it as dvd when i put it into my xbox, but when i play it it goes to that screen saying please insert a xbox 360 cd.

I get this message everytime i try to flash my benq drive.

ERROR: Backups\xxxxxx\xxxx\Ben-CFW.bin does not exist.

Well i looked at my usb, and in fact it does not contain that, should it?

IN my cfw folder i have a benq-cfw.bin should i modify this one or no?

Or should i transfer this one to the back up folder?

Also this new firmware has 3 options

patch the firmware,
flash the firmware,
restore the firmware,

which one do i choose if i want to play back ups, do i need to patch the firmware first or what does that even mean? can i just flash it?

Thanks
