I have read some great things about the 3450 but there are newer chipsets and have you considered Nvidia its my gaming preference I seem to get more frames per second using Nvidia but then again everyone has a preference. Giving your system specs might help myself and others to better assist you. I currently use Nvidia 850gt pcie and the latest drivers which I might add made a big difference in my games after Nvidia had problems for almost a year creating effective drivers for Vista.

Looks like the schills are out tonight. Way to compare a 480$ card to a 170$ card idiot.

Anyways, as great as ATI's desktop cards have been lately, the mobile GPU's still go in nVidia's favour. All those cards are pretty weak, with only the 3650 really having a chance of playing the game on lower settings with a decent framerate. Here is a link for a good reference page.

It's up to you. nvidia's mobile chips are very unreliable, but this is a desktop so you *should* be alright - no promises. The HD3650 is the best card out of all those options (including the 8600GT and 9300GT)

How much are you planning on spending on your laptop? It might be worth it to buy a cheap laptop with a decent CPU, and build a desktop rig for gaming. I spend 1500$ on my first laptop and all it had was a gibbled 128mb 6600 GeForce Go in it. Wish I could have gone back and spend 500$ on a cheap laptop and 1000$ on a desktop.

Dude, it isn't a laptop. At least, he hasn't mentioned anything about it being one.

Ah, the first batch of cards made me think he was going mobile. Not so much with the 9300 though. Probably will never find out now.
