Hi Malci, unfortunately this did not work, when I scan I get all of the channels but when i exit to 403 (S.Spo%r") it remains on 0% updated and will not progress from that. I downloaded and flashed as per the previous mail......any ideas?
thanks

Have you turned the Emu ON, and you do need to go to a channel with a strong signal, try various channels, Disney / cinemagic / sky 2 / Sports1/2/etc. it will kick in, it does need a kickstart unfortunately, you need to leave it awhile, even try turning it off for a minute, then turn on and also turn key Emu off and press set default key exit out and when you see scambled - go back in and turn it back on.

It will work and is working for other's it is just that you need to have the correct channel on, and leave for awhile, but now that you have manually inputted it will most likely do the job for you at the next roll, hopefully.

Hi guys, quick question for who ever can answer.
I have a starview 3 (the super box).Same as lots of others I'm facing a problem with the message: "data is been updated 0%". I've done my research online before writing this message and the issue i'm having with the box is because N*L changed the codes (this is a commun issue). I understand that we are not alowed to post the codes on forums, but is easy enough to find them searching with google. I've managed to get the box working again updating the codes manualy, but i'm sure i'll get the "0% update" pain in the hole again once N*L are gonna change them again and they will. To avoid this i've decided to do a firmware update using the link: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/722659, but the thing is i have no idea which files do i need to download. I found a folder called Starview 1, but not sure if this is good for Starview 3 also and if yeah which folders do i need to download. I promise i'll make a tutorial on this subject, but i need to get the box updated witht eh new firmwqare 1st. :-) Can anyone advice?
Cheers.
BTW this is my 1st ever forum comment. :-)

Yes you need to update with the UK fix, and here it is, this is the one you want, if your box is definately Starview 3 The Box Super, then put this on it to update okay >>

Can't see any posts you have made on this thread, oneeyepea, mayne you have been on another thread, what are you using to flash the box, is it an Adaptor and NULL MODEM lead combination or what.

Well that is your problem, the USB Adaptor has not been assigned correctly, is there no chance of getting the box to a friends standalone PC, that has the correct 9 pin serial port, and you will not have any problem. But in the meantime, go to the link marked Starview in the 2nd line at the bottom of my post and look down to the part on assigning the correct COMM port to the Adaptor, you will also need drivers, so I presume that you did get a disk with the Adaptor.

Well then I would definately go for the first option, have you ever used the NULL MODEM lead to flash a box before? sorry to go on - but they do need to be eliminated these points, but I honestly would go with the first option.

And you definately have the UK fix on it con?, then try turning it off and back on, go to the God channel try that and flick to another - and then try turning off key Emu, exit out to see the scrambled message, then go back in and press Set default key and turn Emu back on, see if that kicks in.

Hi Malci,
I have the UK update on it as flashed it successfully but the 0% update never worked. I was sent the codes this am and this has worked for the moment anyway. I have been told this will last and will update automatically so fingers crossed.
I will try the GOD channel :)
Thanks

Hey malci thanks alot man.
I'll give that update a try tomorrow but i'll have to bring the box into work 'cause none of my PCs have a serial connector and is almost imposible to buy a usb to serial cable this days.I know you can get it online, but i won't do it just yet. :-)
