not near as bad as Ford at 45% to 50% decrease in sales. The big three are done US tax payers better not get stuck with a bailout bill!

Well, aparrently Obama is going to push the Bush administration to roll out another stimulus package (which we will end up paying for in the long run). Might be for the auto industry - give them the capital they need to realign their business with more eco-friendly production to boost sales. But if by chance the stimulus package is anything like the last one, I'm taking my $1,800 to the store and getting me a TV! But.....it will be plasma. Sorry LCD :(

People are not going to spend money on new tv's when they don't even know if they will have a job in the near future.

The last thing we all need is a global recession to drive prices down. If Plasma/LCD prices come right down, then I may buy one.

I'm sure myself & many others are waiting for new tech developments like OLED, but they aren't big or cheap enough for the consumer market yet.
