Hi guys,

My name is anthony im new the forum.

New to all this ...... i took my xbox360 to a computer fair and got it moded so it can play backups .....

My friend who has been playing backups on his for a while borrowed me some of his games ..... to test my xbox ... One of the games dosn't work at all just says on the dash board unplayable disk and the other games work for a while but then at load points a side window pops out saying cannot read disk please wipe the disk with a soft cloth ??

has my xbox been flashed worng becase my friend says that his plays these games perfect on his.... i have done a little research and read alot about poor meida disks being used these disk dont even have a brand on them could this be the problem any help or advice would be highly appreciate...

most likely the media, now that you xbox is flashed you should invest in a kreon flashed dvd drive for your pc, it will run just over 50 bucks on ebay, it will allow you yo make your own backups by ripping the game to ypur pc so you can burn the game yourself.
use verbatim disks and you should have no problems.

Is there any reason why my xbox wouldnt play the games any my friends can ?

Could it be that His FW is diffrent to mine thats why the games work on his fine .?

Best way would be to test with good rips burnt on reliable media (verbatims) at a slow write speed. If the mod was bad it seems unlikely that those games would play at all. Does it work fine on normal games?

yeah normal games play fine looks like i will just have to wait untill i get one of those keron drives as fudpucker said ....because my friends games are all on poor meida.

would making a copy of a backup on poor meida to a verbatim disk be ok ?

Just see if your friend still has the images he burnt in the first place, or can remake them. Then have him re-burn them on the verbatim disks. Make sure he's using image burn and has the layer break set.
