I have a fat PSP and a 5.01 Official firmware in it. Is there any way get custom firmware?

someone who knows this could make a clear step by step instructions for noobs like me.

I tried to instal 3.71m33 this way:
first I downloaded TOTALnewbi easyinstaller from there

and then I used it to change my memory stick pro duo 1gb to magic memorystick

And then I bought this Pandora battery:

Then I put magic memory stick first in psp and then pandora. After that psp should been started automatically but it didn't and I cant do the installation.

Now is there something problem with my pandora or did I possibly do something wrong?

use Rain's UltraLite MMS Makers worked great if your getting a black screen like i did this will work.its the only program i could get to work without black screening me
