I just wanted to ask what people think about backing up games on to their external Hard Drive. I have around 130 and if one gets sratched i have to get another game so more time and money. Does anyone sugest getting an external.

If you got an external right now what brand you think is the best. I was looking to get this HD

Do you mean ripping the image and save it on HDD? Or actually access them from the HDD? I know you can rip game too the HDD on NXE but I don't know if it can rip to and load from a External one o.o? Or else people wouldn't have been trying to hard to buy a 120gb HDD for their xboxes.

I'd say he means just storing them.

Myself, I wouldn't go through the time and effort of storing them on a hdd. It'd be much easier to just go to the local Family Video, Blockbuster, Gamestop, etc. and have them buff the disc in their machine for $2 if a disc ever got that bad.

I want and external like the link shows so I can have them for future use. and dont think its possable to take a backup disked to a store and get it buffed. That would be great if I could do that.

Also yes RIP w/samy drive to a external HD instead of saving to my computer HD and then having to delete it so I can rip more games and save to my PC.

Yep, give them a call. I know all the rental places around here, both big chain and small, will buff your discs. For a fee, of course.

As for your original question, Seagate is a good brand.

i personally back up all my games onto my computers hard drives, they are internals, but would work fine being externals. i just dont want to have 5 external cases laying around sucking power all the time. most of them are western digitals, with the exception of my main HD that is a maxtor.
