Ok so my warranty is up and i wanna mod my 360. I just read up on it today. I saw a video on how to flash the dvd drive (http://www.360mods.net/News/article/sid=58.html) but i read that its a bad flashing video cuz he posted another video dealing with mtkflash whatever and error 28 something or another. now my question is Can I trust this video not to brick my 360. I have a 360 with the Toshiba Samsung DVD drive i wanna flash it to play burned games. My other question is what is iXtreme? is it a firmware flash? I read up on the iXtreme 1.4 combating the xbox live ban cuz of the challenge/response timer recording 360 yada yada yada. and thats how they know its a burned game. Now like i stated i wanna flash my dvd drive to play games and i like the sound of the iXtreme firmware. Is there a video online where i can watch step by step to flash it with the iXtreme firmware?

there are several well written guides, check out the stickys and avoid the videos, the guides are better in my opinion. i.4 is the latest firmware out. basically all you are doing is flashing the FW on your dvd drive.

Where can i find a guide to tell me step by step instructions on how to perform the iXtreme firmware hack and will it still work with the new xbox live experience? comming out in nov. 22

you can find it just be looking through the stickys, no one knows for sure, and it comes out the 19th not the 22nd.
