I looking for a new PC which can easily handle Unreal Engine 3 game like COD4.
What do you think of this computer: http://arbico.co.uk/product.php?productid=18289&cat=327&page=1

If you think its any good what upgrades should I add in the "Customize Here" section?

Thanks for any help.

That computer will run fine for Unreal but I think building one yourself would be a better idea but I'd upgrade to the QuadCore, and better HeatSink for overclocking, and the high end Corsair RAM due to it being faster. Those three will definitely give you a better chance of it running the best. To get the most out of your graphics you will have to deal with Vista but seriously, I recommend building a system yourself.

Thanks, if I was to build my own with similar spec around how much will it cost? Can you recommand any websites to buy components from?

Is it easy to deal with the graphics in Vista, or would another operating system be better?

hmmm, Here's a quick list of a computer that may work out for you and it doesn't include a monitor or input devices I.E. keyboard and mouse:
http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Public...tNumber=9881206

You're looking at about 725 U.S.dollars before shipping on this rig and it's pretty sweet, although no monitor or keyboard, you need to find one yourself or browse Newegg. As far as Vista goes you shouldn't have any issues graphically, as long as you're using a legit copy.

Not a particularly convincing build layout. That is a very weak PSU for an SLI combination, and SLI on older cards like that is a waste, one faster card will get the job done better these days. Neither of the cases are very good either.
You would save at least a hundred pounds, probably more, building a PC yourself.

BigD87: A .co.uk link and you post newegg... Try again :P
Your build is also rather questionable as a gaming PC.

02walker:

Go to ebuyer, Scan or Aria and look around for
NZXT Alpha, NZXT Apollo, Coolermaster RC-690, NZXT Tempest, Coolermaster Centurion 532, Antec Nine Hundred - any of those will do for a case

Core 2 Duo E8400
Gigabyte EP43-DS3L
Corsair HX 520W Power Supply
Sapphire Radeon HD4870 Graphics
2x2GB Corsair XMS2 PC2-6400 RAM
Samsung HD753LJ 750GB Hard disk (this size is the best value for money)
22x DVD/RW drive, doesn't matter much which
22" monitor, preferably something like a Samsung SM2253 or SM223

Those components should set you back around £700 or so, and you are getting a faster PC for your money, with more hard disk space to boot, not to mention miles better quality components.

The reviews of the Cooler Master PSU's on newegg are pretty sketchy. A lot of sound and failure issues. I'd stay on the safe side and buy the case/PSU separately. I'm sure there are some decent case/PSU combo's out there, but not many that I have seen. If you wanted to stick with that specific case I'd look for one that doesn't come with that PSU, no point in paying for something you won't be using.

Could save a bit of money by getting 800Mhz ram depending on how money factors in for you. Someone correct me if I am wrong(Which I probably am), but isn't DDR2 1066Mhz chips just overclocked 800's? That's the jist of what I got when I was picking out my ram. Would also like to see some 800 vs 1066 benchmarks to see how much of a difference they make too.

Edit: And in case you're not aware, unless you are using a 64-bit OS, your system won't be able to use more than 3-3.5 GB of ram.

You still need to buy a power supply, and you need to buy a proper one. Get a Corsair.
