Hi All. Not sure if I'm in the correct forum - so apologies in advance!! I'm having problems with the joystick on my fat PSP - basically, although it is moving ok, the action on screen, when playing a game, is that it seems to be constantly sticking in one direction. For example, if I don't move the joystick at all, the character on screen will still move in one specific direction - something's not working correctly. Does this need a clean out somehow? If so, how do I do it?

this also happened to me a while back the analog would constantly move on its own. Have you ever tried to open up your psp (which i did) make sure you screwed in all the screws and they are as tight as possible.

the way you open up the psp is first unscrewing the one single silver screw on the bottom. then the two inside the holes on the back. then you would have to remove the cover for the battery and take out the battery and take out the four screws under it. once you have done that carefully try and pull your face plate away from your psp it should come off. remember be very careful don't try and touch the lcd screen cause smudges will really mess things up also keep all your screws safe cause their really small and if you lose one it might hurt in the long run. also before you try and open it take off the small cap on the psp analog because it will only get caught when trying to remove the face plate. when the face plate is off you should see two tiny silver screws holding down your analog make sure those are tight and balanced.
