Do newer XBOX360 consoles need extra cooling system?

Well, it took me a long time to decide buying an XBOX360, and one of the reasons was that lots of people had issues with their consoles that over heated, and ended up with red lights.

I just bought a XBOX360, with Falcon motherboard, after I heard that this one was developed to solve this issue.

But would it be recommendable to put additional cooling system to the console in order to keep the console in good condition?

If you don't plan on doing the fw mod and bought it new i wouldnt touch it. let them fix it if i breaks.

It can sufficiently cool itself as long as it is in proper conditions.

Make sure it is not in a closed space.
It should be out in the open, laid horizontally, and not against any surface other than below it.

Don't put it on carpet, and just keep it clear of other things.

It would also help a little to keep it out of hot windows, as that can easily warm it up a bit.

The Intec coolers are a bad idea, I've seen to many cases of more damage than good to be able to recommend them.
