Backup Wii Games - Wiikey2, USB Gecko, Gecko OS 1.06d

Hi, I was searching the net on how to backup Wii games and a lot of the Googling I did brought me to these forums.

I followed the instructions on the USB Gecko site and have succesfully backed up a Wii game using the USB Gecko in combination with a Wiikey 2 on a clip and the Gecko OS 1.06d ISO.

I realise the usb gecko site has documentation but I got slightly confused with it and thought I had to use the twilight hack, Homebrew along with wiirip to be able to backup Wii games. I thought this because the site refers to gamecube - maybe thats just my comprehension....

Would it be useful if I posted a How to on ripping Wii games without using the twilight hack (using a chip, the ISO and USB Gecko) so it could be a sticky perhaps?

It might just save people who are searching for a basic backup system (albeit a little expensive) to find a solution quickly as I found spent an hour or so searching before just trying the above - seemed silly in hindsight but as I mention it wasn't totally clear to me as a complete noob.

Figured I would ask first in case you think its uncessary.

Its nice to know the original games can be placed safely in my office locked away from sticky kiddy fingers etc... :)
