Ok so i bought a VIA6421 cause i saw that it gave extra sata ports so i figured hey i need that cause when i plugged my hitachi 47dj xbox drive my bios thought it was a hard drive. So i bought it off ebay eagerly awaiting its arrival got it yesterday dissembled my xbox again and plugged it in to a open sata port on the via spiciffically the one facing my front of the tower*back of card*

so i aready burned slax and popped that in tadah no spinning disk message at alll so i researched and treyd to find a answer i found modeb.exe on a google search im trying its just .... me and never saying done so my drive is not in modeb and i cant flash it is there annnny other way to do this besides the wire trick cause then id have to buy even more stuff im only gonna use once or lose

too clear up the beggining i do have 2 hardrive sata ports...i think

Yeah let the slax cd load a little first then cut on your 360. Wait till after the first green text goes away then cut it on and then look for disk spinning up as it pops up really quick. Then hit the eject button and wait for the rest of the slax cd to load. Log in and then enter "reboot" and the slax cd pops out and you will load into windows with your hitachi in Mode B.
