What do you mean cable attached to the Modchip?

If your talking about a WiiClip then yes as long as you choose for them to solder the Modchip to the WiiClip it will come soldered together.

If your talking about the wires then no usually you will need to solder the wires onto the Modchip to drive yourself.

You can get either or from modchip central which I have linked below...

The Wiikey 2 is HERE. It is a bundled package that includes Wiikey 2, WiiClip (that just snaps on the drive chipset) and triwing screwdriver to open up the Wii console. Make sure you choose yes for solder if you want the Modchip soldered to the WiiClip and choose DMS/D2A/D2B for Wii chipset.

The Wiikey is HERE. Includes Wiikey soldered to the WiiClip and TriWing screwdriver to open up Wii console.

The Wiikey is $15 cheaper but I would suggest spending the extra $15 and get the Wiikey 2 so you will have an easier time keeping current on updated firmware.

Below are the websites for both Modchips. The resource page will show you how to install them each on your DMA chipset Wii if you don't get a WiiClip.

ok thanks i am going 2 get that kit now how do i attach the clip? because from what i can tell if you solder the pins there pretty far apart. now with the clip there is no actual soldering how does that end up working (please no one say "it clips onto the board" i know that, what i need is info on how the mod chip get contact with all the places it needs 2 be soldered 2)

Well that is what it does. It snaps onto the Wii chipset on the DVD drive. It would be helpful if you did a little searching for yourself. All of this info can be found by using google. Just search for WiiClip and you will find what you need.

i know how to use google and i have found info on how this works i just find it odd how if u were to wire all the cables they are pretty spread apart on the wii mobo, and that a simple clip soldererd to the mod chip and then clips onto the mobo can do the same thing i was just asking. its not that i was just leaching
