Hi there,

I have a Upscaling reciver and a set or component 480p Wii cables. But i cant get any image on the screen. Does anyone know if the Wii automaticly switches to 480P when the component cable is connected?

Using the standart cable i have the option to switch to 480p in a menu, but its blacked out so I would think I had to manualy activate it. Does anyone know this?

yeah the wii should automatically detect which one is in it when you turn it on whether its standard cables or hi def make sure you dont have standard plugged in tostart and then switch it out with the components because that wont work i know

you have to manually set it to 480p in the system menu, with the components plugged in.

you set it in the system menu under screen settings.. You should still be geting a picture even when its not switched over unless the stero or the tv cant do it i do my wii through my stero and it upconverted it to 720p not that much diffrent then pluging it in with the standered cables. just a little better...
