I have been using DVDShrink and Nero 6 Ultra to make full disk back-ups for a couple of days now. I have been testing them on cheapo GE and Apex DVD players without any problem. It didn't occur to me that my $160 JVC progressive scan that is supposed to read -r, +r, and -rw would balk at them. Back-ups that I have made using DVDXCopy Express and the combo of AnyDVD, DVD2One, and Copy2DDVD work fine, but Nero 6/DVDShrink and Nero 6/DVDDecrypter back-ups just spin. Anyone have any suggestions or similar troubles. I am using Fujifilm 2x DVD-R's and my new NEC ND-2500 8X burner. The only other thing I can think of is that the back-ups that worked were burnt with a Panasonic LF-D321 1X burner. I haven't tried using XCopy or Copy2DVD with the new burner yet, so that is my next course of action. But if anyone knows something I don't, I appreciate the feedback. Thanks.
