I haven't truly build a computer out of scratch, but I have taken my current one apart so I know how stuff goes together. Now what I am really wondering is if all these parts are compatible. I have looked at and made sure the obvious stuff is good(DDR2 Mo Bo and DDR2 RAM, Correct socket CPU, etc,etc...) I know it is a lot to sift through, but for anyone nice enough to check my work I would be very appreciative.

RAM: Kingston ValueRAM 2 GB (two of them)

HD: Maxtor SATA II 500GB
CASE: Apevia X-Cruiser Black
KEYBOARD: Logitiech G15
MOUSE: (I already have a nice one)
GPU: XFX GeForce 9500 GT
CPU: AMD Black Edition 2.6 Ghz quad-core
PSU: Tiger ATX 600W Power Supply
MOBO: BIOSTAR M2+ SOCKET AM2+
CASE FAN: ASUS V60 Vapo Bearing 80mm Fan

Thank you!!!
P.S. Any recommended upgrades are welcome.

TY for the quick reply. Any recomendations for upgrades if you think that these parts aren't that great?

Sorry for my short reply, was busy earlier and forgot about this page :P
Basically, Corsair RAM is better than Kingston, Maxtor HDDs are pretty bad, I recommend either WD or Seagate. Case will work, but you can get a properly designed, better-made, better cooled case like the NZXT Tempest for a similar price.
The new G15 keyboard is great, but the old one, apart from being cumbersome, is prone to the letters wearing off the keys.
The GPU is just very slow compared to the rest of the build, get a Radeon HD4670, HD4830, HD4850 or HD4870, whichever is the best you can afford. (they're in order of performance)
The CPU isn't great, AMD's quads are pretty slow by comparison to Intel's (though they are cheap) I'd recommend switching that CPU and motherboard for either a Q6600 or a Q9400 if you can afford one, and a Gigabyte EP45-DS3L motherboard.
You won't need an extra case fan if you buy a case like the NZXT Tempest so you may as well remove that.
The Power supply you've listed is death, it's very important to get a proper unit. I recommend a Corsair HX 520W for that build. Yes it's expensive, but you are MEANT to spend money on a power supply. Cheap ones go bang, and in a bad way.

RAM: Corsair Value Select 2GB(two of them)

HD: Seagate Barracuda Hard Drive 500GB
CASE: NZXT TEMPEST
KEYBOARD: Logitiech G15
GPU: PowerColor ATI Radeon HD4830
CPU: INTEL CPU CORE 2 QUAD Q6600 2.4GHZ
PSU: CORSAIR 520W HX
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3L

How is this? I might downgrade a couple of components because I am attempting to keep this under/near 800$

Instead of giving my PC stats and wasting your time, Ill just tell you it is really cruddy.

Corsair Value RAM is alright, but running two sticks of it you bought as two separate items won't be ideal as they weren't designed to run together. Buy a set of 2x2GB sticks, it'll probably even work out cheaper that way.
You can get away with a cheaper case like the NZXT Alpha, and a less overpriced keyboard, if you want to save money without impacting performance.

mmm just like to point out that seagate bought maxtor, and ALL maxtor drives are seagate ones with a new sticker :) then even have 7200.10 on them :D

but go with what sam suggested, its perfect :)

if you need to drop anything drop down to an antec 300 and get an s-flex 1000 RPM scythe for the from fan (is there a 1000? if not is there a one bigger than 800 but smaller than 1600 sam?)

Most of the drives that share the Maxtor name however rather than Seagate are still Maxtor's design, the Diamondmax +10, which is not a very quiet, cool or reliable drive. For the sake of pennies, it's always worth buying a proper one.

There are four Scythe S-Flex fans, 800,1200,1600 and 1900rpm, SFF21D,E,F and G.

Probably my final choice is there anything that will seriously damage the computer's performance that REALLY needs to be changed?

Ok! One last question. (I hope)
What is better:

Case: Apevia: X-Cruiser
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400
RAM: 2x2GB PC6400 DDR2
VGA: Geforce 9800GT: 1024MB
HD: 500GB SATA-II 7200RPM

-or-
The other one.
