I've been checking around if I should go for an AMD mobo or an Intel.
The motherboard that caught my eye for Intel was the EVGA nForce 790i Ultra SLI Motherboard with the Socket 775 connector

OR...
This ASUS Crosshair II Formula AM2 /AM2+ Socket

Both are great MB, but its really hard to choose between AMD an Intel

Er, what? The motherboard is only a necessity, you can only use an Intel motherboard with an Intel CPU, and the same goes for AMD, so your question should really be, do I want an Intel or AMD processor? If you're looking at motherboards that high-end, the answer is Intel, as they offer faster systems right now.
For the record though, that's not a very good motherboard (EVGA 790i)
This one is far better:

Agreed, that is the exception to the rule about SLI boards being bad.

"a motherbaord can only support wither AMD or intel, not both. "
Of course I know that! My only problem is, is that WHAT KIND OF MOTHERBOARD SHOULD I GET EITHER A AMD OR INTEL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thats what I put on the THREAD!!
and what I mean about both, is that yes the motherboard can can refer to the CPU AS WELL! however, not meaning it supports both AMD and INTEL >:P
thank you (Guys its hard for me to believe both sides from Intel and AMD MOTHERBOARD MANUFACTURERS, thats why I need your reviews) btw thx spamual & sammorris for giving me links to great motherboards and helping me narrow down what KIND of MOTHERBOARD to get :D

I think what both Sammorris and Spamual were trying to imply was pick a CPU first.
No one would be showing you high end boards if you are putting a used Celeron on it.
You dont know if you want Intel or AMD yet, you can find boards with equal specifications (PCI_E and PCI slots, USB headers, audio, video, etc.) with either. You need to know what CPU you want to let anyone really help you.

Well indeed. I know more about Intel boards than AMD ones as for most people the Intels are a better choice.
What's your intended use, lifespan and budget of the system?
