I got my xbox 360 (samsung ms28) chipped (against my will, i asked for flash, but they screwed me over countless times). The installed a NME 1.1 chip. They did a very very good job with the solder and it works great. I recently have been getting "disk unreadable". I fixed this with a new laser. Thought my problem was solved, but sometimes the chip doesnt load up, and the games are unreadable, and video skips.
Im a hardware guy, not a software guy here. I dont have the knowledge to flash it, or really want to have to solder my 360 board, if avoidable, but feel free to lay out options here.
CAN I USE the existing wires from the board to do a "chip swap" to something better then NMEv1.1? or is this even an intelligent next move? Again, i appreciate any help!
Might be a stretch but why not contact the chip manufacturer and ask them. Not many people on here chip their systems so you probably aren't going to get a solid answer from someone on here unless they know it.
Good Luck
