Which game is better in peoples opinions? I have played Resistance and I love it, there are some things that could have been done better but overall it is a really good game. How is COD5? I haven't played it but there are a lot of debates I hear about COD being better than Resistance 2 and vice versa. Anybody who has played both or knows about both can you comment on single player and multiplayer/online on each.

Well the simplest way I can compare the 2 games is by using 2 similar games. Resistance 2 is like Rock Band and COD: World at War is Guitar Hero 3. Both games offer the same type game play but Rock Band offers a lot more to offer like drums, mic, and co-op play.

IMO

Campaign goes to COD5.

I found R2's campaign rather lacking, the bosses were pathetic its more of a challenge just fighting normal chimera squads. Also it felt far too short; again my opinion.

COD5's campaign on the other hand was surprisingly longer than I had anticipated, and quite a challenge on veteran for the trophies. My only complaint about COD5's campaign is the disgusting amount of grenades the enemy's throw, its just ridiculous on veteran. Like literally 4 or 5 grenades will just drop all around you randomly.

Online goes to R2.

COD5's online mode is basically the same old same old as COD4, there are some odd problems with it that I have noticed including, hit detection, and kill cams looking nothing like what actually happened on your screen. There is one thing I'll give COD5 props for in the online department, the co-op zombie mode. It is massive amounts of fun and nice to see that they threw in something fun and different.

R2's online is much more diverse and has a better setup with the exception of the amount of people getting error codes which should be fixed in a later patch. They put a lot of stuff into the co-op modes which I personally find more fun than competitive in most games. The only major problem right now is the ranked matches, what happens most times in ranked matches is people from one team will leave which leaves their team with a disadvantage causing more of their team to leave and because there isn't any joining after the game has started one team almost always ends up with a massive player advantage.

R2 is a buyer, COD5 is borderline buyer/renter. But yes I own both, not regretting either.

I found Resistance 2's campaign to be rather fun. I haven't played shooters much so the normal level on Resistance 2 is a good difficulty for me. I played Cod4 and I liked the campaign in that but the easy level was hard for me, lol. The storyline in Resistance 2 is hard to understand, I haven't played the first one, probably why.

You actually found that that COD5's campaign was long? My co-worker finished the game in 5 hours.

I did it in veteran's mode first time through, he must have done it on a fairly low difficulty to blow through it that fast.

I've been playing R2 on easy and I've spent a good 8 hours on it so far, I'm at the part where Dadeleus is found so those of you that have beat the game, How is 8 hours to get to there?
