best video edit program for windows?

Ive been using video edit programs from a Mac, but windows pc are everywhere and i need a prog for windows. What is the best? and what is the average price?

It really depends how complicated you want to get... if you just want to join/cut/splice etc avidemux does a pretty good job, and it's free.

nah windows movie maker does that... i just remember i had a old copy of adobe premier. I think im going to upgrade that and use it, or maybe ill buy a mac.
