Do you need to format a Magic memory stick?

I've just purchased a pandora battery and magic memeroy stick.
Do I need to format the Magic memory stick in my psp or will that erase the cfw data that is supplied on it.

no you don't need to format the memory card the card will have the files on it to put custom firmware onto your psp
