problem with NTSC wii and d2ckey mod chip w/ wii-clip

ok heres whats going on, i have a US wii (NTSC) with a d2c v1 chipset and i just bought a d2ckey mod chip with a wii clip already attached and set for my region code. install went fine chip fitted on snugly and seems held in place tight.

now heres the problem i can play regular original NTSC games fine but when i put in a UK (PAL) game it shows up on the channel menu and i click it to bring it up and hit start the screen goes black and thats it it'll just hang there forever. the game im using is an original game from the UK i had my brother send to me.

i havent tried to burn any copies yet as i thought it'd be best to make sure the chip was working correctly using an original and thats as far as ive got.

is there any reason that it could just be a problem cos the game is a PAL version? should i just start burning NTSC copies and see how that goes? i dont wanna waste money on dvd's if i gotta get another chip.

Some PAL games are not compatible NTSCU units.

Plus it's annoying when users don't want to waist a DVD to test it out. DVD disc are not that expensive.

Just frikin burn an NTSCU disc and test it out.

i dont have access to a dvd burner right now anyways, i'll wait til i get back home to burn a few, i know theres a bunch of problems that can arise with the burnt discs, ie media and burn speed, drive etc so i thought it best to start with an original game.

is there any online list of known PAL games that work with NTSCU units?
