Hey Guys!I'm new around here and I really need your help!
I just bought the Blaster 360 NE and connected it with my xbox360.I bought a 2 SATA Serial Bus Card for laptops.I also bought a SATA to SATA cable.My laptop works in Windows XP.
Whe I turn the blaster on(modeb off and the other switch to pc)it lights up.A green light flashing.The drive of my xbox360 is a M28.(That is why I'm using Sata to sata).So as I said everything is connected ok!But...
When I connect my drive using SATA my laptop FREEZES!When I remove the cable from my Sata card,my pc recovers and works fine!Why is this happening?How am I supposse to connect my drive so that windows will recognise it if when I connect it windows FREEZE!?Is this a problem with my sata card?(I just bought it and its compatible with all kind of SATA)I also forgot to mention.Is my xbox360 green light suppose to flash when the blaster is on?It flashes like when you press the button so that the drives door opens.And it keeps on flashing all the time.
Do I need a specific SATA CARD?REmember I use a laptop!So I use a SATA CARD.
I really need some help guys!And I'm sure you can help!Thanks for your time.I will be waiting for your response!

I don't think you need to put a M28 into "mode b" the blaster switch should probably be set to "pc" and you can let the 360 power the drive while you have your sata cable plugged into the blaster and computer.
I've only played with one of these things, blaster 360, that a guy brought me when he couldn't figure out how to flash a Hitachi 79FL. I just unhooked the thing flashed the drive like normal and then hooked the blaster 360 back up for him.
Anybody else got any suggestions?

Hi mate!Thanks for replaying!
If I disconnect my blaster 360 can I power the drive using the XBOX 360 power supply and then connect via sata cable my laptop directly to ms28 drive?If I do so,how will windows xp recognise my driver?
I've never flashed a driver before.Do i need to flash it using an old ixtreme firmware and then reflash it using the latest?
My ms28 is 3 years old.If windows recognise my drive then it will be very easy to flash my drive(iprep-ixtreme1.4 does the reast!)If you answer me this questions you will really help me a lot!Thanks mate again for helping me out!

Oh my god!I cant stand this!
I followed all the instructions but nothing!! :(
I connected my laptop and xbox 360 drive like below:
I was in dos mode using USB.
Then I did as the instructions said for iprep!
I get the error above!!!
What should i do!?Please help!
I've been trying to flash this drive for a month now and noone helps! :(

I don't use beta 007. I use 006.1. so my experience might not help too much.
When you are running iprep in windows to set up your usb flash drive are you seeing you sata card in the pull down menu?

I'm using a laptop to flash my drive.So when I'm in windows and I make the usb stick using iprep,the sata card I have connected appears.It works fine!
But...When I go to dos mode it only recognises the dvd drive of my laptop(primary) and doesnt appear to recognise the sata card and the xbox 360 drive.How will it find my sata card in dos mode?I used iprep006 as you told me.I've also updated that programe.But my xbox ms28 drive and the sata card dont appear in the list that I get in dos... :(

I've been looking around to try and see if there was something that says you can't flash a 60 dvd drive with a laptop. For some reason I remember reading that you can't but I'm having a hard time finding it so I may be wrong.

I bought a second esata and sata card for laptop but it only shows in WINDOWS!
When I go to dos they dont appear!
PLEASE HELP!WHY IS THIS HAPPENING!?
And yes they can flash ms28 with laptops!

The thread is talking about hitachi drives not the samsung ms28 that you have.

Yeah you are right...I didnt notice that...
So the only way for me to flash this ms28 is with a desktop pc...
Last question.When I create a boot disk(USB) I choose the SATA card that i have on my laptop.When I boot to dos and write down dsam serial number e.t.c. the drivers that will appear in dos are the drivers connected to that sata card or all the drivers that are connected on my laptop(e.g. my dvd drive).Because I didnt disconect anything from my laptop and 1 drive appears on my list.And when I try to flash it(5-10-15-20 sec trick) nothing happens(so I thought this is my laptops dvd drive).
Any ideas or thoughts?Thanks again for helping me out!

I don't disconnect any of my dvd/cd or hard drives from my PC. I just tell my PC to only boot the floppy drive since I can't use a usb flash drive to boot from. From there I get two choices. The 2nd one always says something like "2 pri xtreme" which is the xbox 360 dvd drive. Make sure the 360 is off then pick 2 and with MS28 wait 10 to 15 seconds then cut it back on and it should read original firmware etc.

The thing is that when the list appears only the laptops dvd drive appears.(primari)I have 2 sata cards for laptops.Both work fine when I'm into windows.Both are recognised when I'm using iprep.But...When I'm in dos the sata card is not recognised? or the xbox 360 drive is not recognised?Is there a way to make my sata or drive recognised?Make them appear in the list?If anyone could answer me this question! :(
