Hello guys, my 360 drive has a Hitachi drive, that i flashed using slax and toolkit. It went through no problems. before this i had an xbox with the samsung drive in it, which i had backups working on it but unfortunately had to return it to store because of the dreaded 3 red lights hardware problem. my backups that i created work on my new Hitachi drive as well, but i am haveing trouble making new backups. i used schtrom slpit/vid option to make my backup, and the latest version of clone cd to burn the image. but my xbox keeps saying unplayable disc. i am using Verbatim+R media that was made in singapore, and am using a Pioneer DVR-116D Black 20x Dual Layer dvd writer DVD±RW to burn my discs at 2.4 speed. i have had one successful burn out of about 5 discs, what is the problem? any body got any ideas? its driving me mad. the orginal verbatim discs i used to create my backups when i had the Samsung drive are slightly different to the ones ive got now, could it be a media issue?
I take it you are burning the .dvd file, and not the iso? Did you look at the dvd file to make sure everything was set? You need to give more info, like what you might think the suspected problem is. It's hard to help without much
yeah i am burning the .dvd file. i havnt beed editing the .dvd file i am leaving the line in with the layerbreak etc because clonecd picks this information up already. i will try imgburn tonight, what information do you need my friend? i am using a samsung drive flashed with the kreon firmware and using schtrom to create the iso file and .dvd file by selecting the 3.0 (slipt/vid) option.
It sounds like you follow pretty much the exact same process that I do when I backup a game. I'm not sure why it wouldn't work. I use both Clonecd and imgburn, and both work fine for me.
I guess just post up the log that imgburn will put out, if burning doesn't work.
thing is burning completes successfully but my xbox just says unplayable disc 9 times out of 10. most end up being coasters but occasionall one burn will play! i seem to be having more joy with the TDK discs than the Verbatim.
