Hi all, this is my first post so guess I am a newbie. I have a Japanese PSP Slim 2000, a pandora battery, and a an 8Gb Ultra Pro Duo memory stick. Has 3.90 Original software on the PSP. Have transferred files to memory stick to make a magic memory stick. if I open the memory stick using the normal battery I can see Desperatar del Cementerio v5, Time Machine and Pandora Installer for 3.xx-R3b are all there. I have tried making the memory stick using XP x64, Vista Ultimate and Xp home edition but when I put in the pandora battery I get a black screen, power light is on, tried holding down the L key, R key, Up key etc but no luck. Also tried putting in battery first then Memory stick. The memory stick light does not flash at all and no service mode comes up. Spent 3 days already trying everything. Please help!!Thanks!!

seems to me like the magic memory stick has not been created properly, there are problems when using vista but it can be created fine on xp as i have done this several times, if you dont get evrything right then you wont be able to relash your psp correctly and you may brick it, i offer a reflash service if you are interested, email me @ borg161@hotmail.co.uk for further info.

Does your psp with the normal battery boot up at all or do u still get a black screen?

Thanks, the PSP did boot up with a normal battery properly. I tried the easy installer using Xp (not 64 bit) and it seems the problem was the formatting of the memory stick. It is all sorted now. Thanks for the reply.Regards!!!!
