I updated my psp with the new 5.02 update, but now i can't play the games on my memory stick. Can someone help me?

i was alittle new to the whole "PSP" thing. i bought mine in china. and since i bought it, it could have played games from the mem stick. but i saw the update, so i updated the system. now i am stuck, because in china you hardly see UMD discs for sale. do you have any advice?

Ahhhhhh. Now it ALL makes a hell of a lot more sense.
You gotta realize I was confused big time by your initial post. Your PSP was preinstalled with custom firmware when you bought it. That's what let you do all that stuff.

I thought YOU put the CFW on it and then was asking why it didn't work anymore after you updated it to OFW.

What you need to know is the ability to play games off your mem stick, read e-books, run unsigned code, etc...all that stuff is a no-no by sony's standards and their security protocols block all that "Good Stuff", as I like to call it. That's why Dark-AleX came up with custom firmware. All it is is sony's official firmware hacked to let us do whatever we want with it. Hell we bought the thing right? :)

To get it back to the way it was you're going to have to do some reading.

There's 2 you're going to need to make. 1 is a jigkick batter (also known as a pandora battery) and 2 is a magic memory stick.

Note that this isn't a quick 2 minute thing to do. You gotta put some time into it. However, here's the first link you should start becoming pretty familiar with:

Unfortunately my "GLiTCH's Ultimate Guide To Understanding and Hacking PSPs" is only like 50% done otherwise I'd point you there and have you just follow the steps for one easy time hacking the psp :)

After reading up on all those posts try hacking your psp. When you run into any troubles THEN feel free to make a thread (following the forum standards and rules of course) and the peeps here (myself included) will be more then happy to help you out.

Oh, one last thing. If you see any posts or mention of the unhackable TA-088v3 mother board, don't worry about it. You know you don't have it because you've already had CFW on there.

Appreciate you putting your input in didz04, but I really don't see the relevance of posting that here.
Loveryan9's mobo is def not a TA-088v3. We know this.

Also, as of yesterday there's been no confirmation on the cracking of the new mobo. They're "in the proccess" of cracking it.
The PSP population knows they're working on it, and until it actually HAS been cracked (which it hasn't), I'd refrain from posting false information.

major grats man :) I love seeing another person getting their CFW installed and updated.

Wanna know the really really funny part of it? The day you took that picture, Dark AleX released 5.00 M33-4. LoL. Nothing SUPER killer in the new update, but the more updated you are the less bugs there are to encounter.
