Wii Middle East Edition - NTSC

Nintendo has released some Wii for the Middle East, it is NTSC, and the serial number looks like this: LMH 100011137.

I asked some chipper what to put inside, he mentions the "Actel" chip with 31 wires which makes me think its a D2CKey.

Anyone has some info on this console, which is significantly cheaper than the EU or US model? The only difference is that the manual is in arabic, menus can be switched to english.

No info on the middle east model, but if a "chipper" is telling you to put in the 30 wire D2C, IMHO he's only doing so to scare you into giving him some business. AFAIK, there are less complicate solutions available.

I looked at one for the first time yesterday and anyone who would want to undertake that needs to solder for a living.

To any "amateurs" that completed this themselves.

yep, that's exactly what I thought. The Wiikey 2 is only 6 wires max, isnt it?

I was just wondering which dvd chipset was inside, out of interest.
