thanks for the reply, when you say updated , I take it you mean adding the following files theboxsuperusb_v1.02_beta & TheBoxSuperUSB_BG_LOGO_080904 via the usb port with a usb memory stick? Can you confirm this ?thanks

That is correct ;) you obviously know where to find the firmware, complete with instruction/guide, Eamo's FTA Library at the bottom of post.

Have you tried the latest firmware in Eamos its 1.05. The problem with an SV4 is you cannot carry out the same bad flash method as previous SVs.
This is of course due to the fact that it is via USB other than RS232. All I can say is factory reset and try flashing with 1.05. What size memory stick are you using?

Hi valkyr07 and all, I got a Starview 4 two days ago and did exactly the same as you, tried to upload the firmware, but am now only getting a blank screen and 88 82 stuck on the LCD. Nothing works. Did anyone find a solution for this or how do I perform a factory reset? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers.

Hey all.
I got one of these Starview 4 USB boxes, turned it on and flashed the firmware to 1.05 no probs.
Thing is, I still ojly have the free-to-air channels?
What am I missing?!

Where are you and have you turned the keycode to ON but you need another firmware. The update to that firmware is this, and it is the UK fix that you will need to put onto your box, to unscramble them okay. ......
