Hey Guys (and gals...)

I'm having issues with burned backups. I've flashed my hitachi drive a few times, using a few different firmwares, including an older one that fit a particular tutorial i was looking at. The problem i'm having is that the drive won't play the burned games, but it'll play the originals, and i'm not sure why. We're burning on memorex dvd+r DL's, tried it at 2.4x and 4x, with no success. It always shows up as an "unplayable disc" in the dashboard. I'm sure this has been posted somewhere else, but everything i've read about this particular drive, it should be a piece of cake... any ideas?

You got to use Verbatum's DVD+R DL Burn them at 2.4x with Img Burn.
I have only had a sucess rate of about 2 out of 10 for memorex.
I have had not one bad burn yet with verbatums.
